The Village of Alert Bay invites expressions of interest for the provision of garden maintenance services in the Marine Heritage Commercial District of Fir Street and the garden bed at the Village Campground.

The Term of the Agreement will be June 1, 2016 to September 30, 2016.

The Services to be provided are as follows:

The planting of materials provided by the Village of Alert Bay, in the locations specified by the Village of Alert Bay.
Maintenance of the Gardens in a weed-free, attractive state.
Watering as required.
Fertilizing as required.
Pruning as required.

The gardening attendant shall have his/her own transportation and basic tools for the provision of gardening attendant services. The Village shall provide all plants, soil, fertilizers, plus disposal services for garden debris and litter.

Interested parties are invited to submit a proposal citing their relevant qualifications to the Village office, including a monthly cost for performing the services for this contract position by May 13, 2016. Preference may be given to proponents who can demonstrate knowledge of gardening. Must be bondable – a criminal record check may be required.
