I am pleased to share that NIC is offering the Resource Field Assistant Program. The program is tuition fee, as tuition is being covered by Advanced Education. This would be of interest to anyone interested in environmental studies, resource management, geology, mining engineering, or any role in the resource sector.
The Resource Field Assistant Program commences on March 31st and runs over 12 weeks. Instruction is delivered online (80%) in addition to a week of applied field studies. The applied field studies will be coordinated in the community where the majority of learners reside. We are motivated to see strong enrolments from the North Island Region which would result in a field school based out of Port Hardy.
Our website provides an overview of the program and details regarding prerequisites. https://www.nic.bc.ca/programs/trades-apprenticeship-technical/trades-and-technical/resource-field-assistant-micro-credential/
The course structure is as per below; please advise students that they can apply online via the yellow “apply now” button.
Please let me know if you have any questions and if you would like to coordinate a virtual information session.
