SAFETY TIPS in moving forward:

Although we are low risk on Vancouver Island and back to low risk on North Vancouver Island and Cormorant Island. We still need to remain vigilant and take all precautionary steps to being safe. Please, if you do not need to travel stay home, but...

If you must travel, please ensure you have three items in your vehicle:

Hand Sanitizer

  1. Disinfectant Wipes (if possible)

  2. Facial Mask(s)

Word is, that some stores will not let you in unless you wear a facial mask. Limit your exposure as much as possible and remember to Hand Wash and practice physical distancing.

    UPON RETURNING HOME:

  1. Stay in your vehicle when on the ferry.

  2. Do not make any unnecessary stops when you get off the ferry - go directly home.

  3. Ensure to clean and disinfect everything.

*Hand wash, hand wash and physical distancing is key to prevent the virus from spreading. Monitor and Self Assess your health - if you start to feel unwell - keep the RDMW Health Line number handy (250) 902-6091 to make an appointment for testing.

BE PREPARED with an INFLUENZA KIT:

  1. Gingerale or Gatorade

  2. Tyenol and/or Children's Tyenol

  3. Gravol and/or Children's Gravol

  4. Thermometer (if possible)

Keep your kit store somewhere Kool. For any medication ensure to consult with your doctor first.

This kit is helpful to have on hand and is readily accessible to you, especially when you or loved ones start to feel unwell and the stores are closed.

LET CONTINUE TO DO OUR PART TO KEEP EVERYONE SAFE.

We are still in this COVID19 event - Let continue to do our part in keeping ourselves and our community safe.
